Time Travelling Primary 6/7

Primary 6/7 had the opportunity to ‘travel back in time’ to learn about the conditions of Victorian Workhouses, for our World Around Us topic.

The children had to work in groups to write, direct and film a news report on the conditions and what an average day in the workhouse would entail. We used iMovie to create special effects and to edit our work so that it was fit for television!

Every child looked fantastic as for World Book Day we had dressed up as characters from Under the Hawthorn Tree which would have been in the same time period.
