💦The Water Cycle💦
Primary 5 were learning about the water cycle this week. We discussed the main processes in the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, precipitation and accumulation. We carried out a demonstration, using a boiling kettle to understand the processes of evaporation and condensation. The boys and girls worked in pairs to ‘make the water cycle in a bag’ science experiment. 👨ðŸ½ðŸ”¬ðŸ‘©ðŸ»ðŸ”¬
After waiting patiently for the sun to break through the grey clouds, we carefully observed the heated water turn into a gas and evaporate, which then turned back into a liquid as condensation. The condensed liquid then precipitated back down into the water below as “rain”.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this experiment. We explored some fascinating water facts, the most shocking being we are drinking the same water as the dinosaurs drank!🦖
