Many of you will have heard about the Summer Scheme that schools are being asked to run during the summer. We are delighted to announce that we will be running the EA Summer Scheme in Foley PS for 3 weeks. Each week will be a new summer scheme and children can attend as many or as little of the weeks as they wish. Our intention is to run the summer scheme in tandem with HealthyKidz. A member of Foley PS teaching staff (Scheme Coordinator) will be on site at all times.
As per EA guidance:
"The main purpose of the Summer Scheme is to help pupils make a successful return to learning in September 2021. There should be a focus on emotional health and wellbeing, as well as activities which are interactive and fun, with plenty of scope for outside play, and for learning activities as and where appropriate." We intend to run the summer scheme on the weeks beginning:
- 2nd of August
- 9th of August
- 16th of August
Each scheme will run from Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 1.30pm each day. There is no cost to children for the Summer Scheme, a snack and drink will provided, but each child must bring a packed lunch.
