P.7 Leavers Day 2017
Leavers Day
A day of celebration though, in some ways tinged with sadness, today was our Leavers Day.
The whole school, parents and families joined in to celebrate the achievements of our P.7 group. The P.7 read their memories of Foley and were in turn serenaded by the classes who read specially composed poems.
Congratulations to Ethan on an astonishing seven years full attendance at school and to Lucy on her 'Spirit of Foley' Award.
To end a great morning the P.7s showed their memory presentation and P.1 - P.6 sang 'Reach For The Stars' with its message about succeeding, something I'm sure Meabh, Joe, Lucy, Orlaith and Ethan will do for sure.
We'll miss you all, good luck in High School.
A Message From The Principal:
For our Primary 7 children today is the end of their time at Foley Primary School. Not only is it an end, but also the beginning of something new. Todays presentations were a celebration of their time with us and a reminder that they are ready to move on.
It can be sad to say goodbye but at times like this we must accept that they are ready to 'Cross the Bridge' from this side of the river to a new beginning at the far side.
We will always be thinking of you and in the future think of us kindly and remember to speak well of your school and those who have helped you grow in your time here.
There are good things waiting for you just around the corner. So step out with confidence and take new opportunities in your stride.
