‘Minding' our Mental Health.
This is Mental Health awareness week and the theme is Nature. We decided to practice some yoga poses whilst saying positive affirmations. The children did their yoga outside so that they could connect with the outdoors and get fresh air.
The children came up with lots of brilliant ideas of how they can make themselves feel better when they are feeling sad. They know that: exercising, going outside, drawing and taking deep breaths are strategies that can help them to alleviate feelings of stress which, enables them to experience a sense of calmness.
