Developing Library Skills
During the first term the Primary 5-7 children have been visiting St. Patrick's High School as part of the 'Learning Community' Collaborative Learning Programme.
One of the activities they have been involved in using the High School's library to develop their Library and Reading skills. They have been involved in activities which have seen them develop and understanding of the Dewey System of classification of Non-Fiction books, How Fiction Books are ordered and classified in a library and investigating the different Genre to which bkks belong. They have studied famous and popular authors.
The children have really enjoyed the experience which has been ably led and guided by the High School librarian. We would like to thank both her and the High School staff for their courtesy and time.
