As part of our topic, the children have really enjoyed reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Just like the Hungry Caterpillar, today we decided to try some exotic fruit. The children learned the names of the fruit and where they orignated from. They were all encouraged to give each fruit a little taste and they were surprised at how many different fruits that they liked. They enjoyed learning which fruit have seeds and were shocked to see the size of the nut inside the avocado. The most popular fruits were: passion fruit, persimmon, cantaloupe and mango. ðŸ¥ðŸ¥‘
