VISION
In Foley P.S. we are committed to ensuring that every child has a stimulating and rewarding educational experience. We aim to support each child to develop the skills they need to be the best they possibly can in a rapidly changing world.
HISTORY
There has been a primary school in Ballymacnab since 1825, so Foley could be one of the earliest schools in the county. We have a wonderful photograph of the school as a small traditional building that dates from the 1900's. Over the years the school has been renovated, extended and new mobile classrooms and a resource room added to the rear.
The school has always looked to the future by embracing new technology and now boasts interactive whiteboards, a library area and looking to the future, we will have a superb new play park. We provide safe, open play areas and have a nearby playing field for sports and games.
We can boast about the wonderful achievements of its current and past pupils in;
- Football
- Choir
- Drama
- Further education
We welcome the memories and achievements that past pupils recall about their days at Foley P.S, this could form a great new reminiscence section of the website in the future. We readily welcome past students for placements and work experience. We have an archive of early register books that provide a valuable history of the families of the area, they are fascinating documents and can be borrowed on request.
