Summer Trip To Tayto Park

Summer Trip To Tayto Park

What a brilliant day for our last summer trip in Foley Primary School. The sun shone all day and we had a fantastic time at the Tayto Theme Park in County Meath.

The whole school headed off early in the morning and we spent the whole day in the park. We enjoyed all the rides and the animal park along with a special tour of the Tayto factory to see how crisps are made from potato to packet. We all agreed that the machines were Hughes and that we never thought there was as much work in making a simple packet of crisps.

We enjoyed a meal in their restaurant and helped the teachers with the Primary Ones and Twos. We also, along with the Primary 5 and Primary 6 class were allowed to go on the Big Rides. Most of us and some of the Primary 6 class went on the Zip Line. It was brilliant! The highlight of the day was when Mr. Kelly organised for the Primary 7 class and Tina, our Classroom Assistant, to go on the new Rollercoaster. It was only opened 2 days before and it is the largest of its kind in Europe. It was brilliant!

Sadly for us the day flew by but we will remember all our trips in Foley especially our last one to Tayto Park.
