P.7 Day 2016

24th Jun 2016

Following on from our end of year Mass on Wednesday, today we bid farewell to our P.7 group. The P7s have been great ambassadors for Foley and set a great example as Head Boys and Girls. We decided to have a special day for Daniel, Natasha, Riain, Meabh and Daniel to give them a great send off. The day started with tea and coffee for parents and relatives followed by a special assembly. During the morning, our classes performed some specially composed poems and each P.7 told us about their memories of their time at our school. Board of Governors member Mrs Pauline Lappin presented the P7 with their Pioneer pins and each P7 received a special goody bag from all of us at Foley. 100% attendance trophies were presented to Ethan and Fiontan and P7 Riain received the annual 'Spirit of Foley' plaque. The morning ended with a special song that the children have been practicing all week whenever the P7s were out of earshot! In the afternoon there were treats galore at a party thrown in P7s honour.

So all in all, today was a mixture of happy and sad, but mostly happy. Well done P7, thank you and good luck!
